Thursday Night Football: Micah Parsons is active, but Zach Tom, Aaron Banks are not

Details
11 September 2025

There was no doubt Micah Parsons was playing in Thursday Night Football, but the Packers listed him as questionable nonetheless.

Parsons, who had limited practices all week, indeed is active and good to go against the Commanders.

He is expected to play more than the 29 snaps he played Sunday in his Packers debut.

Cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) also is dressed and ready to play after a questionable designation.

The Packers, though, won't have right tackle Zach Tom (oblique) or left guard Aaron Banks (ankle/groin). They, too, were questionable.

The team's other inactives are safety Zayne Anderson (knee), cornerback Bo Melton, tight end Ben Sims and defensive lineman Warren Brinson.

Punter Tress Way (back) and defensive lineman Deatrich Wise (knee) are active for the Commanders after questionable designations.

The team's inactives are punter Mitch Wishnowsky, quarterback Josh Johnson, running back Chris Rodriguez Jr., linebacker Ale Kaho, linebacker Kain Medrano, offensive tackle Trent Scott and offensive tackle George Fant. Johnson will serve as the emergency third quarterback.

Jauan Jennings remains out of practice

Details
11 September 2025

49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (shoulder) did not practice again Thursday.

Jennings left with his injury in the fourth quarter of the 49ers' win over the Seahawks and did not return. MRI and CT scans revealed no significant damage to his left shoulder.

He had two catches for 16 yards in Week 1.

Running back Christian McCaffrey (calf/not injury related) missed practice Wednesday, but he returned to full participation Thursday.

McCaffrey created some concern last week when he popped up on the injury report, but the 2023 offensive player of the year said it was "nothing serious." He played 58 offensive snaps and had 31 touches for 142 yards from scrimmage.

Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) returned to limited work after missing Wednesday's sessions.

The rest of the team's report remained the same, with quarterback Brock Purdy (left shoulder/toe) and left tackle Trent Williams (knee/not injury related) not practicing again. Offensive guard Ben Bartch (knee/elbow), running back Jordan James (finger) and wide receiver Jordan Watkins (ankle) remained limited.

CeeDee Lamb addresses drops in Cowboys opener: 'I didn't get any rest really that whole weekend'

Details
11 September 2025

CeeDee Lamb came out of the Dallas Cowboys' season opener with some regrets.

The All-Pro wide receiver addressed his multiple drops, including two in the fourth quarter of a 24-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, with reporters on Thursday, saying they haunted him in the days after the game, via ESPN's Todd Archer:

"I didn't get any rest really that whole weekend," Lamb said. "Again, that's the competitor that I am and how much I'm true to the game as far as being honest and just giving it everything I got because I do love this game, I love this squad, and I love the guys that I do it with. As for me, just holding my end of the bargain and just pulling through for the guys."

Lamb finished the game with seven catches and 110 receiving yards on 13 targets, but was credited with four drops by Pro Football Focus. His last two were quite costly for the Cowboys, whose final drive ended with a turnover on downs at midfield.

Lamb reportedly texted an apology to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott after the game, with Prescott responding "I’m not going to stop throwing you the ball. That’s the game … nobody, I especially, I’m not going to lose confidence."

The next day, video of Lamb catching passes from a Jugs machine on what was supposed to be an off day went viral. Lamb said Thursday that workout was supposed to be private:

"That wasn't supposed to go viral. I wasn't doing that for no internet, to be honest," Lamb said. "So I came in on a day when nobody was in the building, and I still caught a camera. I didn't even know that the camera was there. Shout out to them. As for me bro, it's going back to my fundamentals. I know what it is. I know what to do. Again, it's Game 1, we got 16 more of these."

Lamb's first chance for redemption will come Sunday against the New York Giants (1 p.m. ET, Fox). It will take more than a few drops for the Cowboys to stop using him as the focal point of their offense.
