Miracle worker Darrell Langham a new star for No 8 Miami

Nobody who pores over stat sheets would notice Miami receiver Darrell Langham's numbers. No player wins or loses a game on his own, but No. 8 Miami - unbeaten and in control of its Atlantic Coast Conference destiny - could easily have two losses and be out of the league race if not for Langham's last-second heroics. The surprise star was behind no fewer than six receivers on Miami's initial depth chart, and now is getting called ''Mr. Clutch'' by Hurricanes coach Mark Richt.

UM’s Richt mulls lineup change Richt on state of program Canes notes

A 12-pack of UM nuggets on a Tuesday: • There’s one potential lineup change Saturday. Mark Richt said on WQAM’s Hurricane Hotline on Monday night that Hayden Mahoney graded out slightly better than Corey Gaynor at right guard against Georgia Tech, and Mahoney would be the starter Saturday against Syracuse if the decision had to be made now. Gaynor started against Georgia Tech; Mahoney played later.
