Harden has a $42 million player option for next season that he can turn down in favor of a new deal in free agency, and he's expected to get that in Cleveland. According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Cavs are expected to sign Harden to a new, multi-year deal over the offseason after acquiring him via trade prior to the deadline in February. Harden has had an up-and-down postseason, as has become his norm, but he helped Cleveland advance to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2018.
