Sunderland youngster Chris Rigg says helping his boyhood club secure a Premier League double after arch-rivals Newcastle "means the world" to him. The 18-year-old helped the Black Cats come back from a goal down to win 2-1 at St James' Park on Sunday, having been an unused substitute for the 1-0 home victory against the Magpies in December. Rigg progressed through Sunderland's academy to make his senior debut as a 15-year-old in January 2023 and, like experienced defender Luke O'Nien, has been with the club on the journey from League One to the Premier League.
