The 1,000th game at Allen Fieldhouse was one to remember for Kansas, as the No. 14-ranked Jayhawks earned their fifth straight win with a 90-82 victory over No. 13 BYU. The Jayhawks scored 53 points in the first half alone, shooting an outrageous 9 of 12 from 3-point range to put the Cougars in a 20-point halftime hole. Darryn Peterson, the projected No. 1 selection in this summer’s NBA draft, scored 18 of Kansas’ first half points on his own.
