Simone Biles knows plenty about pressure. The seven-time Olympic gold medalist has overcome many stressful situations during her career, often coming out on top. She looked poised and in command throughout it all.
But when Biles was faced with watching another athlete try and overcome a pressure-packed moment, she acted like any other fan.
Biles was in Landover to support her husband, Chicago Bears defensive back Jonathan Owens, as he took on the Washington Commanders in Week 6. It was a dramatic game that came down to a last-second field-goal attempt from newly-promoted Bears kicker Jake Moody.
As Moody lined up for the possible game-winning kick, Biles decided to record the moment.

If you can't tell by that reaction, the Bears won. Biles, who initially looked stressed before the kick went up, jumped up and down and screamed after the kick sailed through the uprights as time expired. The kick gave the Bears a narrow 25-24 win.
It was an appropriate reaction to what proved to be a tense, back-and-forth game. Despite some sloppy play, both the Bears and Commanders kept the score close the entire contest. Both teams constantly battled back, taking small leads as time wound down.
Late in the fourth quarter, the Bears scored a 55-yard touchdown to bring the game within two points. But after missing the two-point conversion, the Bears needed at least one more drive to pick up the win.
They nearly missed out on that opportunity. But with 3:10 left to play, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels fumbled an exchange. Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright jumped on the ball, setting up the Bears in decent position to drive for the game-winning field goal.
The Bears then pounded the ball via the run, setting up Moody with a 38-yard attempt with just three seconds to play. He hit the kick, sending Bears fans — and Biles — into a frenzy.
While the Bears won the contest, it was a relatively quiet night for Owens. He played just three snaps on defense, with most of his playing time coming on special teams. Though his playing time was limited, Owens still managed three tackles in the contest.
