Purdue's Branden Smith becomes 2nd Division I player with 1,500 points, 850 assists, 550 rebounds

Purdue guard Braden Smith wasted no time achieving another milestone on Saturday, becoming the second men's basketball player in Division I history to produce 1,500 points, 850 assists and 550 rebounds in his career. Smith did it on his first assist of the game against Marquette, a pass to Fletcher Loyer for a 3-pointer just 12 seconds in to give the sixth-ranked Boilermakers a 3-0 lead. The only other player to achieve the feat was D.J. Cooper, who logged 2,075 points, 934 assists and 620 rebounds while playing at Ohio from 2009-13.
