It says something about the Mets that the player who turned up the voltage in the dead-battery Mets was Marlon Anderson, a bench player just off the disabled list.

Carlos Delgado, who had 4 hits in 41 at-bats in the 11 games before Friday, was replaced by Marlon Anderson. Manager Willie Randolph says Delgado will return Saturday.
